This afternoon G.G, Nan J, Scott, Aunty Ali and Aunty Lara all came over to our house for afternoon tea. It was a very nice afternoon. Scott and Dan fixed our back doors fly screen while Molly had a great time showing everyone that she can stand alone for a couple of minutes and take a few steps in a row before falling over. Molly had a wonderful time show Aunty Ali that she has learnt how to play her little piano, even though Aunty Lara looked like she was having the most fun with it. We can't wait to do it again soon.

Today has been a day full of ups and downs. This morning Molly took her first steps. She was stuck standing in limbo between the couch and the coffee table. She decided that she really wanted the bowl of easter eggs off the middle of the coffee table but the table was just out of reach so she took her first step to the coffee table with out thinking. We were all super excited for her. This afternoon Molly decided that she would try to walk again except for this time she took 3 steps then crashed straight into the coffee table. Mummy and Molly rushed off to the hospital and she has a concussion. After we got out of the hospital we went out to the farm and feed the animals. Molly and mummy then met Aunty Bec, Uncle Stu adn Jack at the lake for dinner and to watch Sky Fire, Molly was such a good girl.
I just hope that the next time she tries to walk that it wont be near the coffee table.

Today we went and finally met Aunty Liz's newest edition to her family. We would like everyone to met Ryan Simon David Crotty. He is the most beautiful baby boy ever. Molly had the best time showing Ryan and Aunty Liz all the new things she can do. Ryan is a very placid little fellow and has to be one of the most loved up babies in the world. We can't wait from more play dates with him.

Today when I was doing my hair ready to go out Molly tried to brush her own hair. We then discovered that she has the littlest amount of hair that is just long enough to put into a ponytail (except the tie we used was a little to big so you cant really see it that well) Molly loved her hair being done. She will definatley be a girly girl.

Happy 96th Birthday Canberra
Something amazing happened to me this morning, I woke up and I felt like I had my whole life had been jump started. When I saw my daughter it was like I was meeting her for the first time all over again. I know I spend every day with her and I am truely blessed that I can, but I had the most amazing feeling of happies. I have spent the day WITH my daughter. My daughter has grown so much. Today we played together I know it sounds funny but I actually just played with my daughter today. I stopped worrying about the millions of things I had to do and what people thought of me and my parenting, and I just played. We built block towers and she knocked them down faster then I could build them. We played hide and seek, crawling around and around the coffee table until she found me and started laughing. We cooked lamingtons and dinner, until we were both covered in it. We listened to Hi - 5 until I thought the cd was going to melt. It was amazing. After we had played and my little angel was ready to sleep she cuddled into me and I gave her a bottle while we read her favourite story Possum Magic. She loves the silly voices.
When she finally drifted off I got thinking just how lucky I am. Some women only ever get to do this when their child is sick and then they are still busy trying to get the house hold clean or email on more thing off back to the office. It made me feel kind of sad, here I am with all the time in the world to spend with my daughter and I dont. I might be in the same room as her or under the same roof but I am doing a million other "MORE IMPORTANT" things.
It was after this that I have made a promise to myself that I won't waste another moment like today, I will PLAY with my daughter and I will also make sure that she is my number one thought.

We're Back
We are back from our family holiday to Brisbane to see Molly's Pop. Sorry we haven't updated sooner it has taken a couple of days to adjust back to life at home. We all had a fantastic time up there in the warmth, even if Molly did catch a cold. Molly handled the flights beautifully. She was asleep for most of the flight up to Brisbane. Mummy and daddy forgot to pack her rusks in her bag, so we improvised with a pringle. Molly was hilarious with the pringle she sucked all the flavouring off then gave the rest of the soggy chip to her daddy and the lady sitting behind us. She just made the flight a little more enjoyable.
Once we got to Brisbane we did a lot of the touristy things. We went to Southbank, where they have made a beach. They have put little water fountains in so that babies who are too little to really play they can crawl around in a safe place with no fears to the parents of them drowning. Molly loved the fountains when she figured out that she could crawl into the middle of the fountain where either mummy or daddy would have to get wet to come over to get her.
After a few days in Brisbane we took Molly to Dream World, she didn't stop talking the whole time we were there. She didn't quite know what to do when she came face to face with a koala at the petting zoo part. She had this look on her face of what is that, she then got the courage to touch the koala and she looked at us with a big smile and it was as if she was trying to say look at what I did. We took Molly on the Wiggles Big Red Car ride and she squealed and laughed the whole way around. Once we left the theme park we went for a little drive down to the Gold Coast and had lunch on the beach, Molly loved that if she threw her lunch on the sand a seagull would come closer and eat it for her, she kept looking at us to give her mopre food for her new friends at the beach. After lunch we went back to Pa's house. Molly thought it was great when Aunty Jana came over with her puppies Lolly and Mika. After Molly had finished playing with the puppies we all went into the spa. Molly was in her element. She laughed and splashed water everywhere when she found out that daddy could turn on the bubbles. Molly slept for the first time through the whole night well what mummy and daddy count as the whole night. She slept from 8:30 pm until 7:30 am it was a beautiful sleep in for mummy and daddy.
While we where up there Molly met daddy's friends who have also had babies around Molly's age. She had a great time playing with them. Molly was sad to see that we had to come home after she had time to play with the other babies.
On Saturday afternoon We went back to the airport where Molly made another new friend while we were waiting to board our plane home. The two children banged on the window evertime they saw the baggage trailer go under them. Once again while we where on the plane Molly was great. She had a little grumble while we were on our decent into Canberra just because of the change in altitude but a suck on her dummy and a little bit of pringle soon fixed that and she was great.
We can't wait to go again. We had such a lovely time up there and we promise Pa and Aunty Jana we wont leave it so long next time.
