War Memorial Christmas Carols

Tonight we went to the Christmas Carols at the war memorial in Canberra. It was a beautiful night. We met Nan J, Papa Smurf, Aunty Ali, Aunty Lara, G.G as well as Nan R, Pop, Aunty Bec, Uncle Stu, Uncle Mike, Aunty Ren but Mollys favourite person in the whole world JACK was there too. Molly loved sitting on Nan Rs lap and humming along to the songs, or running in between the camps and running around with Aunty Lara or Aunty Ali. Uncle Stu soon became one of Mollys favourite people when he produced some smarties. Oscar enjoyed seeing everyone and having special cuddles. Both children fell fast asleep before we go all the way down ANZAC parade, so it was a very quiet drive home.

Molly walks in my shoes.

I asked Molly to get her shoes so we could go for a walk to the shops to post a letter to daddy. These are the shoes she choose. She had Oscar and Mummy both in a fit of laughter.

With only 20 sleeps until Dan comes home for his christmas break, Molly has been walking around wearing her little army hat. Tonight she got the bright idea that she could put it on Oscar. Mummy asked Molly "Doesnt he just look so cute", Molly said he was Bubba and gave him a kiss. After everyone wearing the hat Molly got her first pressie.

24 sleeps until Santa comes

Molly got her first advent calendar. She was so surprised to see that it had a chocolate inside but when asked if mummy could have the chocolate she shoved it straight into her mouth and said noooooooo. Oh well maybe I should have brought two.

Sunday at Bemboka

Today we went to Bemboka to have a visit and a play. Oscar and Nan B had a wonderful time just chilling with each other over a coffee and a milk. Molly ran around like a woman with her head cut off. Looking at all the things Nan and Pop have in the house and outside. It was such a nice day. We ar definatley doing that more often.

After we got home Natasha, Sam, Jacob and Sams friend Adam came over to see how our trip went and to give me a new phone for Daniel. Jacob got so bored because Molly and Oscar had both gone to bed that he decided to join in the kids fun and zzzzz the time away. Even though hes in the best spot of the house.

Wagga Wagga

On Saturday we went with Aunty Erin to Wagga to visit daddy on his day off. We were all super excited to see him. We left really early in the morning. It was so hot there that we stopped and had some ice poles with daddy. Daddy was very suprised at how big we were and that Oscar could make so many more noises now.

Thursday, November 12, 2009

After a very sleepless night mummy was very excited when her new bed came. Last night we all had big sleeps. Mummy was very proud that even when I crawled into her bed she still had room left over for her. Uncle Mike was a great helper with the kids. He is so happy with his birthday present, Oscar just loves his Uncle.

To market, to market

Today Aunty Bec and Jack came over for our special Sunday time together before we move.
It was such a bright sunny morning that we decided to pack up the kids and walk down the road to the markets, It was just nice when we left, Oscar and Jack went in the boys pram while Aunty Bec helped Molly with Girl power in the stroller.

(who needs a gym when pushing these two back up the monster hills in 28 degree heat)

Oscar was so cool and relaxed sitting next to his other best mate Jack.

After our huge adventure to the markets we came home to watch Hi-5 and have a nice refreshing ice cream.

Molly and Oscar both loved having such a good time with Aunty Bec and Jack. We can't wait until little Baby Duncan arrives. Then I'll really get a work out with 4 kids under 5. I'll have to keep 1800 NANNA on speed dial 1.

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Yesterday Aunty Ali came over and had a play. Molly and Oscar both really loved spending the time with her. Mummy really enjoyed her time talking to another adult about things other then the next Hi-5 concert or song is released. We all hope that we can do it more before we leave and move to Victoria.

Today Oscar had his needles and mummy had her health check done. Oscar was such a good boy. Molly was a really big helper with her brother today. She helped mummy keep him calm and happy while we waited at the doctors.

I can definatly wait for the next lot, because then I have to have them both done. So calling in the Nan for that one.

Sunday, November 1, 2009

Jack and Aunty Bec came over today and took us to the pool. When they got here Oscar was asleep so Molly and Jack played in the backyeard for a while before we went out.
After the pool we came home and had some lunch. Then Molly and Oscar both slept for an hour. It was such a nice day, Thanks Aunty Bec and Jack for the awesome time at the pool. Molly is such a super fish we'll have to take her again.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

On Sunday Molly helped Aunty Ren, Nan B and mummy do the dishes. She is Getting to be such a big girl.

Saturday, October 24, 2009

Jack and Aunty Bec came over this morning for a play. Molly absolutly loved chasing Jack around the backyard and inside. Jack was a big help keeping Molly and Oscar happy the whole time. Jack used the sqeeky horse toy to make Oscar happy while Mummy got his bottle ready.
After Aunty Bec and Jack left Molly and Oscar both had a nap and allowed mummy to cook the lasagna that we took to the farm for dinner. At the farm Molly ran around helping to feed the animals and pushing her new pram that she got from Nan and Pop Bemboka. Molly helped Uncle Mike and Pop move all the grain to the shed ready to feed the Chooks tomorrow. She was helped Pop move a chook to a new bed so she could sit on some eggs. Oscar just hung out then went back to sleep. Molly was awake the whole time at the farm then only fell asleep once we had gotten home and she was in the big bed having a cuddle with mummy. It really is a tough job being the big sister.
This past few weeks Molly has discovered that she can climb the slide and go down all by herself. She is just getting so big.

This last week it has been so beautiful and warm outside that we have spent most of the day outside only coming in to put Oscar to bed (if Molly hasnt rocked him to sleep in the swing first)she has become the biggest helper to mummy,

After bathtime Molly likes to look after Oscar while I finish cleaning the bathroom and the dishes from dinner. She turns on a dvd and sits in her beanbag next to him and everytime he makes the slights noise she jumps up and comes to get me. She is such a good big sister.
After watching their dvd they are both so tired that they fall asleep and have both been sleeping through the night which makes for one extremely happy mummy.

Another week over

This past week has been a very busy week.

Natasha gave birth to Jacob Brett Smapson on the 12th. He is absoultly adorable.

Zoe came up for a visit but has to go home tomorrow, she has been a great help this past week. She allowed me time to myself even if I did waste it on sleeping, it was still nice. Both kids have had a cold but are slowly getting over it now. Not so much coughing, Thanks mum for the lend of a vapouriser for Oscar.

On Friday night Molly had a visit to the emergency room. She was running and jumping into her beanbag, unfortunatley she ran a bit over and collected the corner of the t.v unit. So 5 hours later we got home and you would never have picked that she had a concussion. She is a little clingy and tired at the moment but trying to sleep in the emergency room is a bit hard.

A huge thanks to Aunty Ren for driving us to the hospital and helping to calm mummys nerves a bit. Thanks for all your help with her at the hospital. Your the best!

Oscar has been a very good boy. He laughed for the first time this week after drooling all over Zoe. He has grown so much in the last few weeks. He has to go for his 2 month injections next week. He has learnt to babble back to Molly really well. The two of them talk to each other for hours. Im so glad that Molly loves him so much.

Dan is doing really well at Kapooka, He is getting over the 6am wake up calls. Still loving the 8 hours of sleep a night though. He is having a blast and cant wait to get out of there to see everyone.

Nan J and Aunty Lara same back home from their 3 week holiday overseas. They got in at 8am on Friday morning, safe, well and tired. 16 hours on a plane will do that. Aunty Lara was apparently an awesome travel companion. We hope to catch up with them soon.

Day One is Over 79 to go

Today we had a quiet day. After we got up we went out to the farm and let the chooks out and started the fires, so that Nan R and Pop did come home to a completely frozen house. Then we came home and did some house work and Molly was a very good girl she packed away all her blocks by herself. We had bathtime and dinner then we played for a while again. Molly spoke to Dan on the phone for a few minutes and she just loved it. Molly has helped me all day. She has passed me Oscars nappies, shook his bottle, Passed me the wipes, gave him is dummy and lots and lots of cuddles. Molly has even helped to burp her brother even though he is very stubborn about burping. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful helper.

Floriade 2009

We went for a lovely walk through Floriade today. Molly was such a little model with all her photos. We got stopped by people who thought she was so cute. Molly loved all the attention that she received, Oscar layed in the pram and slept most of the time but enjoyed the sun and the fresh air.

Hopefully our huge walk around floriade will make Jacob arrive. Molly is over waiting for him.

We took molly back to a few of our spots that she had photos done at last year to compair how much she has grown. We also found a few new spots to get really nice photos of our princess.

Oscar smiled

Oscar is a healthy 5.6 kgs and wears a triple 0 clothes at only 5 weeks old.

Wednesday, September 9, 2009

Last Sunday night after Dan got home from work, he had to do a test run of the beep test so we could see how his training was coming along. It only took 4 attempts and about 100 excuses but he made it to 7.5 which is the requirded level for entry into the army. Molly stood at the back door and every time Dan ran past the door she yelled DAD and clapped her hands. She made such a good cheer leader I think that is why Dan made it to 7.5. Now we know he can run that fast no more excuses can be used.

Last night was the first night that I had out with no children.

The motbey girls went out to Dendy to see the movie the Soloist. We all highly recommend that you see it, probably not the best movie for guys. When we got to the movies as we hadn't been to the preimum cinema before we had a lovely suprise that they sell real food in there. We ordered the beer battered chips, salt and peper squid, chicken tenders and the trio of dip platter. They send the food to you in the cinema at the times that you choose so not to get all the food at once. The chairs recline back into a laying down postion which is really comfortable.

They also serve alcohol in there which makes for a really nice change for you standard soft drink.

After the movies we went out for coffee. Like real adults.

I am so booking in to do that night again. It was nice to feel like a normal woman for once.

and yes i did almost leave my handbag there as I am so used to having my nappy bags. Thanks Ren for reminding me I had no nappy bags but a hand bag.
We recieved our first wedding present this week. G.G, Nan J, Papa Smurf and Aunty Lara brought us a heated towel rack. Molly and Oscar have loved having nice warm towels to wrap themselves up in after their baths.

The big L word

Today we have been cleaning up the back yard and started working on the front. We finally filled Mollys sandpit. After all the work was done and it had gotten to dark for us to work any longer, we came inside. After Dan had bathed Molly and dressed her in her pjs she surprised us both when she climbed up onto the couch and sat on Dans lap and said love dad. When we pulled out the camera she refused to say anything. Hopefully in the next couple of days we will catch it on film.

Some one kindly pointed out that maybe these babies are actually all related.
We have been teaching Molly intsy wincey spider. She mumbles along with you while you sing but she loves trying to copy the actions. This morning she was trying to get her brother to do the actions to.
She loves to sing to her brother ever morning before we get out of bed. She is the worlds best big sister ever.

which is which

We have been looking at the old photos of Molly when she was the same age as Oscar is now, and were blown away with how similar they look. The only difference we see is one is blue and the other pink.

Today we went for a walk through the Bontanic Gardens. Molly had a wonderful time running around the board walk area in the rain forest chasing after her daddy. Molly stopped and looked at everything on the ground and before we moved on she had to make sure that daddy had a good look at it too.

After the run through the rain forest Molly and her daddy had a small break at the water fall to catch their breath and have a look to see if there were any fish in the pond.

Congratulations Uncle Danny and Aunty Leasa

Yesterday we went down to Bega for Uncle Danny and Aunty Leasa's wedding. Molly had such a great day at their wedding. Molly made some new friends and was not shy at all. She walked around to everyone and introduced herself. She was quiet the party guest. She also enjoyed getting up and having a little dance with everyone. It was a magical day.
