Molly Left a carrot and a beer for the easter bunny

The Egg Hunt

EASTER 2011

The kids loved running around trying to find all the eggs the easter bunny had left. We had a roast pork with all the trimmings and had a very relaxed day. Thanks Tash, Sam and Jacob for coming and staying with us and helping us celebrate Easter.

Missing all the family back in Canberra. We are hoping to visit soon.

Thanks Aunty Bec, Uncle Stu, Jack and Will for our easter presents.

Thanks to Uncle Mike, Aunty Ren, Pop and Nan R for your presents too.

Love Molly and Oscar.

We had a ton of fun at Williams 1st birthday party. Dan and I caught a Yabby. We wish we had caught more. Aunty Tash, Uncle Sam, Amy and Jacob came over. The girls went to lolly pops while the boys went out and did some electrical work for a friend. It was so hot that the girls decided the kids needed a pool to play in. They played in there for hours then Nan R was watered the garden and played a lovely game of "you can't catch me Nan R". and after a great game of runnning around Nan R gave Oscar his first hair cut. He now looks like a real little stud. It was such an awesome time watching all the little people. They are growing up way to fast.

Still Busy

The last three days has been filled with seeing friends and family. On Sunday we went to the Dickson swimming pool with Aunty Bec, Uncle Stu, Jack, Will and Uncle Mike. The kids loved running around in the new water park they have and going into the baby and middle pools. We loved watching Will go into the baby pool just like one of the big kids. He would slip over go under the water and come back up, stand up with a huge smile and put his hands up in the air like he had just scored a goal in a footy match. He is so much like Molly a little dare devil in the water. Yesterday we went to see Nan J, Aunty Ali and G.G. The kids loved running around in the house and back yard with Nan J's puppy Bella. Molly ran straight into her old room, she still remembers the old house. Nan J cooked a beautiful chicken and pasta bake. Not much was left when we had finished eating it was really really yummy. Today uncle Mike showed us how to walk to his work. It was such a nice cool day that we then went out to Royalla to see the chooks and feed the cat that still live there. Tomorrow we are going to meet Nan J for lunch then we are going to Aunty Becs house for dinner.

So with the new year here we all piled into pops 4x4 and took a drive out to Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. We got to see the Roos and koalas. Molly walked pretty much all the way around the encloser. Near the end though she was a bit hot and tired and showed pop how she can be a real devil baby. She is just so cute....

Hard Work

On the 30th and 31s of December last year daddy helped pop do some work around the new house. They built a new ramp/deck so that no one has to walk through the mud to get to Uncle Mikes house. They did this without complaint and in 35 degree heat. They even conned Molly into helping with the last bit so they could finsih early. They also instaled a new ceiling fan in the undercover balcony so that we no longer have to sit in the heat out the back.

Christmas in Canberra 2010

It was a very exciting christmas this year. We all got very spoilt it was the best on yet. Oscar and Molly are so exhausted because the lucky ducks got Christmas for 5 days in a row. We arrived on Thursday and then on friday the christmas days started. \
On the 27th we went in nan and pops car to see Nan and Pop Bemboka. We had a huge adventure when we were there. Oscar ran around like the chickens chasing them all over the hillside. Molly convinced pop that the best way to start things off was to have a nanny nap. Then wake up and go on the quad bike with uncle Mike, well until the wheel falls off. Then every one was down a hill fixing the quad bike. After it had been fixed we all had a present and Pop gave daddy a challenge. To build a windmill in under an hour. Much to everyones disgust the stupid thing didn't come in a million pieces like all the previously brought ones but this one came in 4 pieces with not 200 little screws but just one big one. Then the water feature that should have taken 10 minutes took 1 hour to construct and a little bit of help from Oscar.
It was a very long day then on the 28th we all went out to Lolly Pops to play with Jack and Will before they left on a big Areoplane to go and see some more of their family in QLD. Molly and Oscar are still wondering what to do with all their lovely new toys.
It will be a few quiet days at home to work out where everything must go...

Dans finally 24

Happy Birthday to my darling husband. For his 24th birthday he couldn't make up his mind to what he wanted for his birthday cake so he got a layered frog in the pond jelly cake. Molly and Oscar absoultly loved daddys cake. Molly loved singing happy birthday to herself and got angry at us when we said it was daddy's birthday not hers. I just hope that he had a good day.

Today we sugar soaped Mollys bedroom. She has been kept out of her room for most of the day. She was super surprised to see she had a new doona cover and pillow covers on her bed. She was so good helping mummy to clean the house.

We just thought this summed up our little princess so well. Sitting at Ned Kelly's feet with the sign "SUCH IS LIFE".
We took a drive out to Beechworth and took a walk through the court house. The court house has held over 149 of the Kelly family trials. We saw the armour that the kelly gang wore in their finaly battle with the police. We also saw the wheel chair that Ned Kellys mother was in. Unfortunatley you can't take photos of it or the suits of armour but next time we have visitors we will drive them out to see it. You can however sit on the Judges bench, stand in the witness box, the accused box. The kids loved playing court room. Oscar was very quick to dob the other to in for the crime.

Kira and Russel flew down for the weekend. Molly loved having a play mate her own age living with us. Oscar got a bit of a break from being the play mate, It has been such beautiful hot days while they have been down. Molly and Russ loved playing in the water washing all their toys

.

At night we would go to the base and have a swim, which everybody loved but they kids didn't realise that the parents probably loved it more because it wore the last bit of energy out of them so they would fall asleep right after we had dinner and a bath.

Molly and Oscar have been real little troopers this weekend. It has rained and stormed pretty much the whole time. We have done lots of drawings and art and craft, But their favourite activity was cooking. They sat for a whole hour making HAPPY FACE bikkies with daddy. Mummy was loving the time off.
Yesterday we went for a walk to the Hume Dam, It was a bit wet but lots of fun. Everyone was really tired after we got back.
